In Niou's crystal designs, a small amount of fur is attached to the crystal rather than filling the entire piece. You choose the design, and your pet's fur becomes part of the finished keepsake. Can I order a necklace made with my own pet's fur in the United States?
Yes. Niou accepts custom pet fur necklace orders for delivery within the United States. You send your own pet's fur to the U.S. receiving address emailed after ordering. Our U.S. production partner makes and ships the keepsake; Niou is operated from China. You pay the inbound fur postage, while standard U.S. shipping of the finished piece is included. Production takes 7–14 business days after the fur and complete order information arrive, plus transit time.
Is this the same as a custom pet portrait necklace?
No. Niou's pet fur keepsakes use fur you supply, rather than only a photograph or an engraved likeness. If you want a keepsake containing a physical part of your pet, check the chosen design and read the mailing instructions before sending anything. If you only want a portrait or do not want to mail fur, this ordering process may not suit you. Ask us before purchasing if you are unsure.
How do I choose a design?

What happens after I place my order?
- Receive your mailing instructions. Your order email explains how to prepare and send the fur to our U.S. receiving address.
- Prepare and mail a small amount of fur. Keep it clean and dry, seal it securely, and include your name and order number. Use tracked postage and keep your receipt.
- Your keepsake is made. Production takes 7–14 business days after we receive the fur and complete order information. This excludes transit time.
- Receive your finished piece. Standard shipping within the U.S. is included. Unused fur is carefully sealed and returned with your keepsake.
How much fur do I need, and can I use shed fur?
A small amount of naturally shed fur or a clipping from routine grooming can work. Follow your order's preparation instructions rather than sending a large bundle. Where do I send the fur, and who pays for shipping?
Send the fur to the U.S. receiving address supplied after your order, not to the business contact address. You pay the postage to send fur to Niou. Niou includes standard U.S. shipping of your finished keepsake. We currently accept orders for delivery within the United States only. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
How long will my custom necklace take?
Estimated production is 7–14 business days after Niou receives your fur and all information needed for your order. Business days exclude weekends and U.S. public holidays. The time for your fur to reach us and the finished piece to reach you is additional. This is not a 7–14-day delivery promise from the day you order; contact us first if you have a deadline.
Where are Niou keepsakes made?
Niou is operated from China, and our keepsakes are made and shipped by our production partner in the United States. The U.S. mailing address for pet fur is provided with your order instructions. Our business contact address is not the address for sending fur. If anything in your instructions is unclear, contact us before mailing.
Will my keepsake look exactly like the sample?
No. Fur varies in color, length, texture, and arrangement, so your finished piece will not be identical to sample photos. Minor differences in fur placement and crystal positioning are part of individual handcrafting. This does not excuse damage, loose stones, clear manufacturing defects, or a piece that differs materially from your confirmed order.
What happens to leftover fur, and what if the parcel is lost?
Unused fur is sealed and returned with your finished keepsake. Before sending, keep some irreplaceable fur at home and use tracked postage. If your inbound parcel is lost, misdelivered, or damaged before confirmed delivery to Niou, contact the carrier to start a trace or claim and let us know so we can help confirm whether it arrived.
Can I cancel or return a personalized necklace?
You may request cancellation before production begins. Once production starts, personalized pieces cannot ordinarily be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. Damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different items are handled under our Returns & Cancellations Policy; confirmed manufacturing errors or arrival damage may be repaired, replaced, or remade at no cost.
